A First Time Guide

New to wearing Lolita? Especially at school? I can help with that :D

Going to school in a full Lolita outfit is a bad idea on your first day of being 'Lolita'. By doing so, you are starting off as an Ita, which is a Lolita poser, which you should never be.
Do me a favor, and start off slow. If you are a casual girl, start putting yourself together in NORMAL clothes. This will make you more comfortable when dressing more fancy, therefore, making the transition to Lolita easier.
Start off with some cute hairstyles, I'll have some examples below :)

Those are just a few of the many starter hairstyles.
So now that you have some good hair inspirations, let's move on to makeup! Starter make up should be light, glowy, and clean. Lolita girls traditionally try to get the 'porcelain' look, so don't go overboard! Use a light foundation that's your skin tone, and use light colors for makeup (unless you're doing Gothic Lolita).
I'll be showing you a few examples of beginner's makeup, and give you a few tips :)

As you can see, her makeup is very delicate looking, and the main focus are the eyes, and even so, it's not overdone.

This girl, also looks porcelain, and she's showing off her eyes, and only doing minimal with her lips. This is a traditional Lolita look.

Now, let's be honest, we all love eating sweets, and our junky foods, but by doing so, you may not have the clearest skin. To achieve the porcelain look, you have to eat healthy and take good care of your skin!

Now on to clothes. To start off, I recommend wearing casual Lolita, before you upgrade to full Lolita. Since (if you didn't know before) my parents are anti-Lolita, I can only go as fair as casual Lolita, and occasionally Sweet and Hime Lolita, while keeping within my restrictions.
I'll show some cute examples of what you should start off with, and comment if you have suggestions!

Now that you have a good sense of the fashion, go out and embrace yourself in your new Lolita outfits :D
